Back2Back concert

Last Friday and Saturday, I attended two concerts in Los Angeles and Anaheim. The first concert was held at The Music Box in downtown L.A. The concert featured the rock bands Kamikazee, Kitchi Nadal and Parokya ni Edgar. It was a sold out event and was attended mostly by die hard young teenage rockers. It also featured some Filipino Indie rock groups who showcased their own song compositions. This event was long waited because these bands are sought after rock stars in the Philippines. Parokya ni Edgar is one legend to be reckoned with. They started in the mid 90's in Ateneo de Manila University. Most of the bands songs are about everyday life of a teenage Filipino. The Kamikazee, a band formed in UP diliman is somewhat similar to the band Taking Back Sunday and is famous for their songs "Martyr Nyebera", "Unang Tikim" and "Narda". On the the other hand, Kitchi Nadal a self-named band is famous for its ballad rock "Huwag na Huwag mong Sasabihin". The crowd went wild when the featured bands kicked off and Jay of Kamikazee showcased his crazy antics. It was a hell of an event.
On the other hand, the concert last Saturday, featured two of the most sought after concert kings Gary V. and Martin Nievera. It was held at the Heritage Forum in Anaheim. Both are respectively legendary balladeers of the Philippines. The concert mostly attended by die hard Gary and Martin fans aswell as famous celebrities and media personnel. I had the priviledge to attend the event with the invitation of the Philippine Press Club. I was surprised how magnificent and touching the concert was. It was really a worth it experience. Special guests at the concert were Gary's son Gab and Martin's son who both showed their talents in dancing and singing. Here are some pictures from the back to back concerts...
